NUTRITION

Meal Preparation and Curation

All meals served at Bucket House Preschool are prepared in our on-site kitchen by our in-house chef. The menu undergoes careful curation on a weekly basis, aligning with the healthy eating guidelines set by the Singapore Health Promotion Board (HPB).

Diverse and Nutritious Offerings

We take pride in offering a diverse array of foods that cater to various tastes, embrace cultural influences, and align with seasonal availability of fruits and vegetables. Each day, the school provides three well-balanced meals—breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Additionally, seasonal fresh fruits are provided before lunch daily.

Cultural and Dietary Considerations

Attention is given to ethical, religious, and cultural aspects. The school refrains from serving any food containing pork, lard, or beef, and our food purchases are halal-sourced. While most students share the same meals, exceptions are made for those with allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary preferences. Parents are encouraged to communicate these requirements during registration, and these children are required to bring their own food in named containers from home.

Promoting Healthy Eating Habits

We actively promote the development of healthy eating habits among the children. Parents are encouraged to engage their children in discussions about food to make meals both healthy and enjoyable.

Allergy Policy

Due to severe allergy risks to some children, the school strictly prohibits the presence of all nut-based products in any form within the school premises.
